Sporting A was looking for a way to safely get or keep families with children moving during the pandemic. Walking is of course an ideal activity. But how do you keep it interesting for everyone?

Interactive hiking quiz

The solution was both fun and low-key: by having everyone quiz while walking. To make that possible, we developed the app AntwanGo in collaboration with MediaMixer. The app guides the participating families through four city parks via an interactive route with quiz questions.

Along the way, there are twelve signs with a (sports) quiz question on each. The answers to these questions yield letters that form an ‘inspiring message’ at the end of the walk. The app allows you to give the walk quiz an extra dimension by answering the quiz questions immediately during the walk. Those who succeed in all assignments will be rewarded with an AR-selfie with Antwan, the friendly Sporting A mascot. 

The AR-walk quiz was an instant success: the app was downloaded more than 1.500 times soon after its launch. At the same time, the interactive game contributed nicely to the image of ‘t Stad.
